Not only is the old site search box bulky (takes up lots of space), you have to search each site one by one.
Compare the above (a screen shot, not a working search box!!!) with the new Google AdSense custom search box right at the top of this (main) column. It is very compact. Previously, I cannot fit the custom search box into this main column and must put it in the wider blog Header. Now I can fit it into this narrower main column. You do not have to tick your choice, all you need to do is to type your search terms into the box and click "search" and it will search all the websites which you have included when you generate the script for the custom search box. In the case of the custom search box, I have included a total of 9 blogs and made the result page opens in a new tab or window. The Google custom search at the top of this column searches the following blogs:
This blog
Blogger Tips and Tricks
Blogger for Dummies
Dummies' Guide to Google Blogger
Blogger FAQ
Testing Blogger Beta
Blogging Ideas
Tips and Tricks for Blogger
AdSense Alert
Try it yourself and see. The results which will include links to more than 1 blog will appear all in the same page.
